The Verdict Still Stands

Ever notice how some challenges like to make a comeback? You’ve already faced them, conquered them, and moved on—but suddenly, they show up again, trying to make you question your progress.

That’s when you have to remember: once God brings you through something, you don’t have to stand trial for it again.

In law, there’s a principle called double jeopardy. It means once you’ve been tried and acquitted, the case is closed. You can’t be retried for the same offense. Spiritually, that truth still applies.

When God settles a matter in your life—when He brings peace where there was chaos or victory where there was loss—the verdict stands. It doesn’t change just because the threat reappears or fear knocks again.

The enemy loves to replay old scenes, hoping you’ll forget how the story ends. But you’ve already passed that test. You’ve already won that fight. The outcome hasn’t changed.

So, when familiar problems try to rise up again, hold your ground. You don’t need to prove anything. Just stand firm in what’s already been declared over you: you’re free, covered, and victorious.

Whatever tries to return from your past has no power in your present. The case is closed—and the verdict is still in your favor.
