The Necessary Fight
We don’t usually welcome a fight into our lives. If we’re honest, most of us spend time trying to avoid one. But some battles show up without asking our permission—and later, we realize they were exactly what we needed.
This isn’t about physical fights—it’s about the hard seasons. The ones that test our faith, stretch our patience, and challenge our comfort. The ones where we feel resistance at every turn.
It’s tempting to see those seasons as interruptions or detours. But what if they’re actually your training ground? What if the very thing you’re trying to escape is building the strength, discipline, and endurance you’ll need for the next chapter?
Think about it: resistance in the gym makes muscles grow. Resistance in life grows character, wisdom, and faith. And just like a good trainer, God knows exactly when to push you harder—not to break you, but to prepare you.
So, the next time you find yourself in a fight you didn’t choose, pause before you try to run from it. Ask yourself—what could this season be building in me?
Sometimes the fight you didn’t want is the one that equips you for the win you’ve been praying for.
